This last Thursday morning, February 16th, my Mom and I loaded the kids in the "Silver Bullet" and drove to Mesa, Az. We went down to visit some family, play, and go to the zoo. The already long 7 hour drive got stretched into 9 hours when there was a freeway closed due to an accident. After about 30 minutes of a dead stop, my mom drove across the median to turn around and head back in the opposite direction. We ended up having to take a different route that added about 2 hours to the drive.When we finally got to Phoenix, the kids were so excited. Grandcrack (my Grandma) met us for some shopping which was nice because then we could get out of the car and walk around. After we shopped, we ate dinner at the military base, then got back on the road to head towards Grandcracks house! 1 more hour to go to cross Phoenix! HALLELUJAH we made it!!

When my mom had to turn around on the freeway, Cannon had to make sure we were still going to Grandcracks house. He was a little worried we were turning around to go home. He was beyond excited to "go on vacation!"

Friday morning when we woke up, we got dressed and headed to the Santan Village Mall in Queen Creek that the kids love because it has some fun toys. The kids played on them for a few hours and had a great time playing with some cousins.
